This morning, I went to college, only to realise that they're refurbishing our whole college. And by that, I mean, tearing down a lot of it, and extending rooms, and so on. It was a refreshing change, being there, amongst all of these strangers, yet I felt quite at home, all over again. The day went on, until we had no idea what were meant to be doing, so we just walked round, and round, and round, and round, (you get the point) college. Finally, we were sent home, and were told to come in again, on Thursday, or that they will contact us, telling us, what is exactly happening.
I came home shortly after, only to see someone, I haven't seen.. In years. And it was a pretty darn, exciting moment, I say! Look, who is back.. Again. (Oh dear!). I present to you, years later, the new and (NOT) improved, ALTAF RAJA!!
For those of you, who don't know this man, he is the singer, that sang the (not so) famous song, "Tum toh tehre pardesi.." Yes, THAT song. The one where this same verse, is repeated, for most part of the song. Gasp.
This man, was once my idol. I looked up to him, as he was not only talented with his vocal cords, but also, very, very, gorgeous. He was, the man I measured everyone up against. If I made a male friend, I made sure there was something about him that, was similar to Raja Jee. Well, without further adieu, Here is his picture. Remember though, you will be taken aback. =D
Ahem.. Moving on. I will share a little embarrasing secret with you all. Ahem. When I was younger, I was a rather sad being (sadder than now, yes.), and so my sisters, very kindly referred to me, as this man. They used to call me, "Altaf" or "Altu". Gasp. Tsk. *Hides*. They were, quite the mean ones, I must admit. They picked on me a lot. Thniff.
I had to go out for a while, after Mum left to Stratford. I went down the street to finish off everything I had to, and I came back home. I stood at the front door, for 15 minutes, trying to unlock the door. I got nowhere. People who passed me, looked at me, suspiciously, since afterall, I was dressed, rather hideously. So I decided to try a few more times, only to numb my fingers completely, out of pushing/pulling/turning too hard. Ahem. I then thought of going down to my grandad's house, and asking my aunt for the extra key she had. I got there, only to realise, that she had misplaced the key. So I walked all the way back, hoping, that I could open the door. Shortly after, mother called, and I told her of this little event I had.. She told me to wait for two hours. I tsked. I tried again to unlock the door, but I failed, miserably, and now I have two very swolen fingers. =( . Instead, I thought of two other alternatives - Ask my neighbour to help me out, OR, ask my neighbour to let me jump over their garden, into my back garden, to sit with the cats, since the garden doors were locked as well. Ahem. Luckily, I didn't have to pull off any monkey-stunts, and my neighbour came to the rescue. She was so much more shorter, and tinier than me, but she made it work. =$
- Yesterday, I was so excited to eat Dates, from Dubai, that I swallowed the whole seed, and apparently mother wasn't very sure, if it would come out, ever. Ahem. So yes, I now have the following stuck in my stomach:
- Chewing Gum (from 7 years ago. Hopefully, that should digest sometime in the next month. However, I did swallow more 4 years ago, and last year!)
- Seeds - Not only from this Date, but also from various other fruits.
- Nails - Ahem. I'm not very proud of this one - Everyone knows that my worst habit is, biting my nails. I started when I was about 8 or so years old. 10 years on, I still do it. Since then, I'm sure there were times I accidently swallowed some. Tsk Tsk.
- Fungus - Like Anisa, sometimes I tend to eat fungified/out-dated food, without realising.
- Ink - I bite all my pens.
- Cat hair - Even though I don't particularly eat cats, I kiss them crazily (and then I rant on and on about my allergies. *Shakes head, at self*) - and hence, their hair probably falls into my tummy.
Finally.. I watched Grey's Anatomy last night, and WOW!! It was quite good. If I continue watching it, I think it may reach in the top 5 of my "favourites" list. So far it's as follows:
- One Tree Hill
- Prison Break
- House
- Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (even though only one episode has been aired, it seems pretty good!)
- Grey's Anatomy
Ta Ra!! =D
Random Something:
Since I've been going on about Grey's Anatomy, here is a quote from one of the characters: =D
You know, when you were a little kid, and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be.. White dress, Prince charming, who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith.
Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming.. They were so close, you could taste them. But eventually, you grow up, and one day, you open your eyes and the fairy tale, disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is it, it's hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely, cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and, it will come true.
